Watersports Center

An attractive holiday offering sailing and windsurfing at the water sports school “Wind&Friends” in the Bay of Alcudia/Majorca. Best watersports and leisure conditions for beginners and advanced alike. The VDS (German Association of Sailing Schools) and the VDWS (German Association of Watersports Schools) acknowledge “Wind&Friends” as a recognized training centre.

A wide and sandy beach gently shelving into the sea is perfectly suited for bathing and sport activities. Our windsurfing and sailing school situated on one of the longest and most beautiful beaches of the Balearic Islands is protected from strong winds and high waves. Its location is ideal for training in windsurfing and sailing.

Wind conditions are perfect, with thermal winds in summer (1 – 2  and 3 – 4 on the Beaufort scale in the morning/afternoon respectively) providing the best possible training environment.

A regatta is held at the end of the course, crowned with the presentation of sailing licenses at the beach barbecue party.

Windsurfing Equipment

Our watersports centre “Wind&Friends” craft park comprises Hify and Fanatic boards (length 260 cm/volume 95 l/training boards up to 330 cm long/ volume 240 l).  Sails for every class range between 1.5 and 7.5 m2.

Kids of only 7 years of age (according to bodyweight) can be trained in windsurfing using lightweight aluminium rigs.

Location

Our windsurfing and sailing school Wind&Friends  Alcudia is located in the north-east part of Majorca about 60 km from the airport in Palma de Majorca. You can go to Alcudia by bus (take bus 17 from the airport to Plaza de España, and than change it for a bus to Alcudia. They commute every 1-2 hours. Taxi costs between 60€.
